Biographical history
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) was a core part of the Unit's activities from the start. As well as providing ESOL training the unit was the lead partner in the National ESOL Training and Development project from 2001 and produced an ESOL core curriculum and core curriculum training.

'2003' comprises two project reports and a publication regarding family learning.
'2002' comprises reports regarding dyslexia and English for Speakers of Other Languges (ESOL) learning goals.
'2001' comprises reports regarding language in Mali and building basic skills in the workplace, and course materials for family learning and teaching literacy to ESOL learners.
'2000' comprises reports regarding parental involvement in education, dyslexia, computer assisted langauge learning and second language learning and teaching. Includes a 3.5" floppy disk
'2004' comprises a report regarding numeracy and non-specialist mathematics.
