Administrative history

The House Committee was a sub-committee of the Governing Body. It dealt with matters relating to the buildings and facilities of the Polytechnic. The Building Sub-Committee was a sub-committee of the House Committee. The House Committee merged with the Finance Committee (LSBU/2/1/1) in 1966 to become the Finance and General Purposes Committee.

Bound volume of House Committee minutes. Contains loose correspondence, reports, lists of clerical and refreshment staff, caretakers and engineers and their salaries, Inter-Polytechnic Garden Party invitations, lists of journals and books purchased by the Library, Lecture and Entertainments Schedules, and Prospectus of the Recreative Side. Also contains references to the Borough murals created by Roger Fry during 1911.
