Frank Ernest Field, Baron Field of Birkenhead DL is a British politician who is Leader of the Birkenhead Social Justice Party and was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Birkenhead from 1979 to 2019, serving as a Labour Party MP until August 2018 and thereafter as an Independent, later forming the Birkenhead Social Justice party.

She was Principal of Lewisham College for 17 years until 2009, and was chair of the Working Men's College governing board from 2002-05. In 2010, she became the chair of the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS), a public body for Further Education and skills development.

Graham Chase was born in North-West London. While still at school, he won an RAF Flying Scholarship which led to him securing his private pilots licence at the age of just 19. He went on to study at the Willesden College of Professional Building and qualified as an associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 1980.

Graham began his career as a property manager with the BBC, eventually rising to head up some 200 surveyors across the UK at Colliers Erdman Lewis. In 1995, he set up his own practice, Chase and Partners, providing development advice and consultancy in the retail and leisure property sectors. Graham advised on the £350 million acquisition of the Iceland Group and Booker Group and the £700 million financing deal for the Agora and Catalyst shopping centre portfolios and is currently working to secure equity stakeholders for a $5 billion regeneration and redevelopment project in Chicago.

A fellow of the RICS since 1988 – and president between 2006 and 2007 – Graham is also a member of the Court of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors and current chair of the Education Committee since 2011. He advises the government on property issues, and is President of the Association of Town Centre Management. He sits on the RICS President's Arbitrators and Independent Experts Panel and is regularly called on as an expert witness.

A passionate advocate for education, Graham chairs the Joint Oxford Study Weekend and is a founder and director of the CPD Foundation. He is also a trustee, governor and director of Alford House, a youth club based in Lambeth. Chase and Partners have sponsored Saracens Rugby Club since it turned professional in 1995.

He was made an Honorary Fellow in July 2012.

Dantzic Street was renamed Keyworth Street in 1919 in memory of Lance Corporal Leonard James Keyworth who was awarded the Victoria Cross for gallantry in France during the First World War. After his investiture at Buckingham Palace on 12 July 1915 he returned to France where he sustained wounds from which he died on 19 October 1915, aged 22 years.

The PICKUP Europe Unit was set up to analyse and disseminate information about the training implications of the Single European Market. It was run on behalf of the Department of Education and Science by a consortium consisting of South Bank Polytechnic, Bradford University, Leeds Polytechnic and Spicers Centre for Europe. PICKUP stands forProfessional, Industrial and Commercial Updating.

The conference was chaired by a member of University staff and was held in London Road Building, with delegates staying in the McLaren House halls of residence. The conference also incorporated the first European Usability Professionals Association Conference.

The Report of the Committee on Higher Education (the Robbins' Report) was commissioned by the British Government and published in 1963. The report recommended the immediate expansion of universities and the granting of university status to all Colleges of Advanced Technology. The conclusions were accepted by the Government in October 1963.
