A bound volume containing floor plans for the different levels of Borough Road Building. The plans are reproduced in "The Borough Polytechnic Institute" by Edric Bayley (Catalogue ref. LSBU/6/3/3).

• First report on complete Island-site scheme, October 1948

• A report submitted to members of the Governing Body on suggestions for the development of the Polytechnic: it covers developments of courses offered, the structure of departments and accommodation and premises, c.1957.

• A Scheme for the Future Development of the Polytechnic: a report setting out the desired development of the Polytechnic in terms of teaching, accommodation, buildings and amenities, 1957.

• The Development of the Borough Polytechnic: a progress report looking at the Governors' 1957 Scheme of Development and the progress made, October 1960.

• A report for London County Council detailing approximate estimates of cost, initial cost plans and a comparison of schedule areas with plan areas, April 1964.

• Report to the Governors Building Sub-Committee: a report on the development of the Tower and Extension Blocks including architectural plans by Norman and Dawbarn, Juy 1964.

• Schedule of Accommodation in Existing Buildings and Proposed Extension: a table of rooms, their functions, their area in square feet and maximum student capacity, October 1964.

Hand drawn plan of the Southwark Campus area showing Borough Road Building, the site of an extension building on the site that now holds J Block and the proposed site for a new building for the National College of Heating, Ventilating, Refrigeration and Fan Engineering. This became the National College Wing (now called the Faraday Wing) and was opened in 1961.

Comprises a plan of Edric Hall from c.1907 and three plans from the proposed modernisation of Edric Hall in 2003.

Comprises plans regarding Borough Road Building. The plans predominantly cover the following periods: 1950s, late 1960s, early 1990s, 2007-2012. There are 40 hard copy plans and 28 digital plans.

The Tower, Metal, Extension and Joseph Lancaster Blocks were built together and so the plans were drawn up simultaneously and kept together. Thus this file comprises plans of the Tower Block from 1964-2013 and also plans of the other blocks up until 2005. Post-2005 plans for the other Blocks can be found in files LSBU/2/2/8/16-18.
