Comprises record detailing staff retirements, obituaries and memorials for:

• John W. Cooling, member of the Board of Governors for the National College for Heating, Ventilating, Refrigeration and Fan Engineering 1948-1970 and member of the Board of Governors for the Borough Polytechnic Institute 1943-1969.

• Hubert Arthur Secretan, Chairman of the Board of Governors 1954-1970

• James Eric Garside, Principal of the Borough Polytechnic Institute 1956-1965

• Professor Maxime Louis Vuillermoz, Professor in the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology at the Polytechnic of the South Bank c.1980s

• Baroness Perry of Southwark, Director of South Bank Polytechnic 1987-1992 and Vice Chancellor of South Bank University, 1992-1993.

The photographs show the construction of both Wandsworth Road and Perry (originally Centenary) Library as well as interior and exterior photographs of both in use, along with photos of London Road Library. The digital images show Perry Library in the first decade of the twenty-first century.
